Owned by the award-winning hairstylist and colorist, Katy McClure, KT Colors Salon is a full-service private studio located in Truckee, California, where she was born and raised. She is a licensed hairstylist with over 22 years of experience, including an apprenticeship in Santa Cruz.

Voted Best of Tahoe in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2021, she is widely recognized for her work as a colorist with extensive knowledge of the technicalities of hair color, depth, and tone, and works with a range of techniques including permanent, semi-permanent and highlighting. What sets her apart from other stylists is her ability to execute just about any idea a client has in mind and solve haircut or color challenges that others have deemed impossible. Mostly, though, her goal is to improve someone’s mood, self-esteem, or confidence by the time they leave her chair.
